An ode to the man who taught me
Not to drive my Little Red Corvette too fast
But to party like its 1999
And have myself a blast
It was from him I learned the lesson
That I deserve Diamonds and Pearls
And there’s far more to life and love
Than being a Nasty Girl
I’m working up a Black Sweat
Oh yes my friend I’m serious
Just thinking about how talented he is
Makes me quite Delirious
He taught me to be The One
To be responsible with my choices and life
Be true to myself and not fall for
The enamored beauty of the Pop Life
Though he was a Sex Shooter
He was a teacher to many I’m told
The most valuable lesson I learned from him was
All that glitters just ain’t Gold

I chose to write about a person with whom I've never spoken... I used some of the titles of songs he wrote or produced in there. Enjoy!
