Opium

Trapped in the chains

of mass production.

Delirium consumes

this dark corruption.

Watching and waiting

more hands of greed.

Build up that frenzy

for all of your needs.

Delusions come swiftly

but so does the pain.

How does it feel

being part of the chain?

Injecting the sorrow

excitement increased.

Chains of insanity

are veins that you feed.

    Powerful!

Well, You certainly know how to produce a dark tale and you do it so easily! I do enjoy reading your work and I must admit some of it scares the shit out of me! Anyway bravo on this piece, amazing flow and well constructed

    interesting

i found this an interesting point of view. rather than writing about the trails and tribulations of addiction you have created a vision of the wider picture.

4x4 about a pendulum that swings to both sides

"How does it feel/being part of the chain?"
... that's my favourite! I think it's called "mise en abyme". Herrlurch

Thanks for reading... The Pendulum, it's interesting how you can read it that way as well. I suppose we are all part of the Pendulum, even if we don't think we are!

      All the best,

      ~T.S~
