Saddest Goodbye

Remembering the night you told me how it went
How you wrote to her and all the messages that were sent
I looked deep in your eyes for some relief
Searching my thoughts to erase this painful feeling of grief

Every word you spoke pierced my existence
All I every held on to gone in one instance
No way to breath or speak what I needed to
Lost and yearning for a way to make it through

You begged for my forgiveness and cried
How could I forget and go on like you never lied
Rebuild our love you said and trust me again
I didn't even know where to begin

Was this everything or was there more
You bowed your head and said I kissed her once before
The damn broke inside me and the tears fell
And my heaven was destroyed by your hell

What was once sweet and pure
Contaminated by your virus with no cure
Poisoned and ripped into a place of  rage and fire
Without love, kindness or any pleasing desire

Left was a beautiful creature with the blackest eyes
Filled with deep dark sadness from your lies
Seems like everything is left with a question of why?
And always ending with the saddest goodbye
