Bliss of nature, tender and gentle
Water gushing through earth’s stones
He holds her in his arms,
Tender soft lips touched water
Clear in midst of time, space and nature
Blushingly she closed her eyes
Both lost in solitude not knowing anything else
Tender night flew with their tender heart beating
Tender love alibi flowed in gushing
Blushing streams besides their mansions
But unknown to Paro’s mother
Anger and envy rotten took place in a spur
She was humiliated for her request in braider
All she asked for love of her beloved daughter
But to another she was a trader’s daughter
So was then the time repeated
Now a foe, once a friend cheated
For her cast she was dishonoured
“You shall not forget your status”
Rude words sprang through the serpent’s mouth
Silence spread in the ceremony and everything seems baseless
The joy of the traders came down to their real trade
When Paro’s mother came to join in their glory
Like her daughter she thought of her never apart
Not knowing what sneaks behind this serpent’s façade
She was expecting a warmer greet
A higher respect not only as a neighbour
But as a mother of Paro, mother in law of Devdas
But nothing stood to her nature, she stood confused
Grasping any sense of those prolong words in discreet
Devdas mother Kaushalya played those forgotten distance
Reminded Paro’s mother Sumitra the difference of their caste
Where Brahmins stood high to where stand merchants
Each words stabs this poor mothers heart, tears flow on Sumatra’s face
Still in mind and heart some hope left she stares
And finally blew the serpents mouth broke her tolerance
Her joy and hope shattered the mother’s heart
Not toward this insult but in thought of her daughter
In fire of anger and humiliation, mothers heart scram and cursed
Just like a bubble her respect burst, with a slap she asked in authority
What right have Devdas mother to ask her class
She asked what happened when Devdas was in her womb
And to the promise of taking care till his maturity
What happen to those songs she sang when Paro was born?
Why the caste didn’t shattered this wall when I fed Devdas
What happen to that joy when Paro use to hold your hands
She asked again in hope for her daughter
Will you accept my daughter?
Rejection was still her answer, she vowed at that full melancholies moon night
That in ten days she will find a better prosper for her daughter as a groom
Who would be ten fold high from her neighbour’s pity pride
And last words in their friendship she claims to the serpent
Like those words she sprang, with sorrow and grief
She wished her a princess as she came to wish her a prince.
The lovers are lost in their love deep frozen in time
Still unknown to what lies behind
What rotten demon eyed their love?
Unknowingly they returned home.
Devdas entered with joy in his eyes
But felt the shock of his life
The ode of the insult ran towards his ears
In grief his words trembled
He went towards his mother and asked
Why? Why?
Nothing came in reply
He confessed his love towards Paro
As a child he was always been treated harshly
From his strict father who was a judge a legislator
Today he was treated the same but he denied the insult
In anger he went towards his room thinking of his lady love
And found Paro there like a thief in dark
She came in shadow of the night to ask Devdas
Whether he would accept her as a bride
But the time was not right
This conversation was disturbed by his father
In sarcasm and ignorance he comment
“From when merchants started to sell there child”
In tears Paro ran towards her house.
stood front in anger and grief her mother
A humiliated mother asking why did she leave?
Paro’s eyes sank in dripping grief
She had nothing to answer her mother’s questions
Sumitra acknowledges her daughters love but not above her pride
“If Devdas comes for you I would gladly let you go, if he doesn’t
you would listen to what I say for my pride won’t allow you to be in love”
it was very dark night for both
for one its fight for his love
and for other its a wait of eternity
but the destiny it was not allowed
in anger Devdas took chariot and left away his home
lost forgotten his love in his anger and insult
he forgot the question.... Paro asked
as Paro sees from her broken window
her loves fades away in darkness
it was dark night
where the moon crust sang
this melancholic melody
in its moonlight to the stars above
as he witness this farewell was just beginning
of the destruction of both neighbours house..
End of part two

Abuyi, I have so missed your beautiful poetry. It definitely gives me a glimpse into a different culture and unique way of looking at things--which I absolutely love! This is so lovely and sad. Keep writing my friend, so the rest of us have something to aspire to.

Wonderful, exciting plot (story)
After waiting thirteen years for each other, I do not believe it will end here! I believe all people should be considered as indiividuals, not cast.
