My left side sags, one shoulder
lower than the other - causing T-shirts to fall.
My legs are short, as is the rest of me;
my thin hair betraying my scalp for its imperfections.
Never exactly thin, though thinner,
but shorts don't falsify my abnormal thighs.
Round face, hazel eyes hidden behind bifocals
and a tiny button nose over lips hiding crooked teeth.
I stand ruined as shattered stone -
but he does not see.
Blue eyes pass over my fallen shoulder -
too hypnotized by the exposed skin of my collar bone.
Golden brown hair that glows in the sun
Eyes that pierce his soul with a gaze
That smile reserved only for him.
Even as a relic, i allure him.
He stands, wanting me and wishing he didn't,
and it helps to know that even if he cannot keep me,
to him, I am devastating.

Wow!
Oh, how endearing! how beautiful his eyes that see only within and not the rest; how wonderful the feeling of love overpowering the rational senses and uncontrollable; how amazing your poem!
It must feel like heaven and still better to know that someone loves you unconditionally.
My favourite lines were,
"I stand ruined as shattered stone -
but he does not see"
"He stands, wanting me and wishing he didn't,
and it helps to know that even if he cannot keep me,
to him, I am devastating."
Beautiful verse! A great write. God Bless!
