there is a spark
at the very core
of our spiritual being
that illumination
comes from a divine source
not by our own power or will
we have been given
a priceless gift
a sense of worth and purpose
this inner glow
needs to light our paths
and guide our ways
if heeded it will prepare us
for eternity, life without end
with the giver of the spark

It's what keeps us going, that we strive to reach and keep. Nice bronze winner you have penned here - congrats.

What a beautiful description, you have truly caught the essence of ones inner light, and I love that you have described it as a spark, I can't think of a better word...it's a reminder of why life is so pressious and not to be wasted...there are many parts that stood out for me, but I think the last stanza stands out powerfully and will stay with me...thank you for this wonderful contribution

Very spiritual, the meanings behind each part is so meaningful. Without the spark, where would we all be? Great use of the prompt!
