"a book called perfection"
Heres a story about a girl
Who was far to beautiful
For this ugly world
Her skin was delicate and pale
Softest lips, so pink and full
dark brown hair elegantly curled
The first time you lay eyes upon her, you'll never wish to look away
Through pure beauty she makes all else seem tiresome and passé
Then she speaks, and finishes her mesmerizing display
by showing you she possesses beauty that cant decay.
She speaks and moves in ways that seem to simply convey
How everyone you've met till now is terribly cliché
And as I read from this book called "perfection"
I notice how every single word points in your direction
It talks of doe eyes and a crooked nose.
The way you breathe aligns perfectly with its prose
It opens up with how love survives despite geography
I should have known "perfection" was nothing more then your biography
I could write about your big brown eyes
The sweet allure of your sent
And the way your smile could bring down skys
But if I wanted to capture your true essence
A thousand new words Id have to invent
Because when it comes to splendor you are the quintessence
my arms have never felt emptier, then when I wasn't holding you
Every time Ive ever needed anybody you have come through
You made me believe in myself and gave my life meaning
My love for you couldn't stop even with god intervening
For I have seen roses, orchards, and everything floral
And nothing compares to the loveliness of a laurel

Wonderful
This is really good, i just love it. The lines of the first stanza kind of stand out from the rest by size and rhythm, but that only affects the outlook of the poem, and not the poem itself, so overall its great. Thank you so much for a sharing it. -eleno
