Here I sleep in my peaceful grave
never to have unpleasant dreams
I drift by like a gust of wind
seeing people from my past
While I watch worms eat away
from flesh that was once mine
I rather wish I wasn't here,
alone and afraid of what is to come,
but I rather not get help
from the likes of you.
You led me on to think
that all was fine in my life,
then you left me to
die,
so
I bid you
Good Bye.

Nice pic... poem might not fit, but I thought it would. If not don't worry. DQ it if you want.

I like how you started this - but wasn't sure after the first two lines, if you were the one resting in the grave or the one drifting by.
Some good images and emotion.
thank you for your entry
best wishes

Okay, at the beginning I didn't think this poem fit the prompt, but the last stanza really proved that thought wrong. Good work.
