greedy minds

When greedy minds spin thier lies
It is the innocent who suffer.
Broken and betrayed are all the ties
Facing the future seems much tougher.

It is inevitable, this pattern we set
Call it human nature.
When we put our wants above what we get
Selfish thoughs we begin to nurture.

Idolitry we can say is to blame
Adventure is a good answer for show.
We can lable it with any given name
But the real culprit is simply our ego.

When greedy minds spin their lies
It is the innocent who suffer.

just something I've noticed when I sat back and watched...try it sometime...I'm sure you'll see the same

The message here is fantastic...you've carried the theme seamlessly throughout the poem, the repetition at the end is quite effective.

The flow is phenomenal in the first stanza...but it got a little rough after that. Such a great topic...this poem can be even more impressive with a little fine-tuning.

    KUDOS!

Is someone is feeling a bit benevolent lately? (John Lennon thought along these lines and they shot him for it )- it is a beautiful thought.

It is true, greed really does destroy so much. Greed and religion are responsible for 99% of all human suffering

    Wisdom is gained..

through the eyes of watchfulness..and you have done just that..You capture the essence of the world in just a few sentences of truth..Wise beyond your years and so well stated.. I wouldn't change a bit of the wording..Excellant!

There is so much knowledge here.
But the real shock is nobody seems to know or care about pointing out whats wrong and trying to correct it.
    Fine fine work my friend.

    BLESSINGS ALWAYS,
