Cherish the Moment, Memories Live On

Generations come and go
The mantle of life given to the next generation
When the time came, the Greatest generation was born
Of which people you know personally
Parents arrive in life
Snapshots take a valuable photograph
This keeps the moment of which to remember
Graduation day comes and the diploma in hand
Cherish the Moment, Memories live on

Advancing to higher education
Or joining the military
A marriage of a love union
Between two people
The hearts become one for a lifetime
Cherish the Moment, Memories live on

When the blessing of children come
The couple will see growth
The mistakes and trials
To the enrichment of their victories
Cherish the Moment, Memories live on

The grandchildren will come
As will the health may fail
But as the look
Of the past-youth
Of the present-young
Of the future-wisdom of gray hair
Of what is left-photographs
Cherish the Moment, Memories live on

I like this poem a lot and the message it sends out. To live in the moment and cherish life, something I think more people need to do. I like how it flows and the sequence of time and events in people's lives.
