Waiting

Missing image

There is

perpetual twilight,

stars shimmering

are brighter here.

A simple molding

shifts awareness;

signal the red roses,

time to line the path ~

You have chosen me

And I kneel before your grace.

There are lights:

watch them dance and play

beneath a cresent moon, glistening,

where my fingers trace your skin.

Time stood still

held in expectations;

forevermore ours ~

you walked into my dreams.

This place,

I have always known,

run to…

yet never understood;

was incomplete

waiting for you.

    "You have chosen me
    And I kneel before your grace."

    These are such beautiful and humbling words, almost disbelief...that it could be so.

    And I agree with Delila, stanza four is beautifully tender and gentle.

    "There are lights:
    watch them dance and play"

    I wanted to reach for them. Dance along with them for the moments that they are. Good feelings conjured here.

    Perpetual twilight in that special place, filled now with purpose. You have used imagery well to evoke tender emotions.

    Wonderful take on the prompts and a piece that touches me deeply.

    Well done poet. Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela
