.
Heart still pounding
with the adrenaline of the hundred-voice choir,
the now-solitary soprano finds a quiet cloister
of age-worn stone.
Wrapped in a comforter of memories,
she sings her own quiet requiem.
As the cathedral empties
she tries to imagine just one of those listeners
knew her name.
