The covers softly keep me warm
Fragrance from scented candles delicate
Night darkly makes her journey
My mind succumbs to Dream Land
My physical body quietly sleeps
My Dream Window opens
Sweet scenes with my Mom and Dad
Marvelous long-gone childhood days
Running, running with the deer and bunnies
I suddenly awaken in total darkness
Some awakenings conjure calming thoughts
Beautiful dreams leave soft footprints in my Mind

"My dream windows open" Oh I love that line.
Makes me want to dream.
I think this is just delightful but I didn't want it to end. I wanted more. I wanted to know WHY the dreams of Mom and Dad are the echo in the thought. I would love to see this piece expanded. You have used some excellent imagery in it, I just wanted more.
Thank you for your entry. Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela
