Top Of My Lungs

Yeah, I wanna scream at the top of my lungs
Scream at the top of my lungs
Will someone hear me?
Where's my rescue?
And I'll scream at the top of my lungs
For help
Only to be ignored

Don't you see this
Tears running down my face
I'm winning a shouting match with the air
As if it really cared
What happened here?
You Pharisees- you are a disease
You make me think twice
About walking through the double doors
Since I'm what helps keep the place runnin'
Yet I've become your debris
Toss me to the side- you've replaced me
Yeah, me

And I'll scream, scream, scream
At the top of my lungs
For help
With arms opened wide
Why has this world become my hell?
And I'll cry until there's no tears left
Voice the words that need to be said
If I offended you, I really don't care
Everything's gotta be better
Than the way I'm treated here
And I'll scream until everyone knows

Scream- top of my lungs
Cry- until there's no tears left

Will you fix me?
I'm beginning to feel so broken

Wow, this is an amazing piece.

I agree with the, we have to be broken before we can be fixed.

And sometimes, we may think we were.
But we were never broken in the first place.

    Thanks for entering,Good luck x

Somtimes, God needs to break you before he can fix you.

This piece was packed with emotion, sound, and vivid detail. Your writing will never stop amazing me. However, I think that when you wrote, "Yet I'm become your debris", that "I'm" should have been "I've". Otherwise, the piece seems flawless. We always want someone to fix us, when the truth is that we will heal in good time. If someone does happen to fix us, then they didn't do a good job because their idea of better can be a totally different idea than ours. Keep it up!
