For you, for always, I waited,
With breath that is baited.
My heart gave itself in purity,
As I held onto my only virginity.
When you came, we married,
Over the threshold I was carried.
And no longer did I have to wait,
For this man that would be my mate.
For life, and for eternity,
I gave you my virginity.
You took away what made me whole
And found I was not the mate of your soul
So, for you this poor heart waited,
With breath that was forever baited
Only to perish in the longing of ether,
Because breath can not be held forever.
Author notes
in case you didn't pick up on it, but I doubt that anyone didn't, I don't belive in holding oneself for that idea of a soulmate, or even marriage.
