The Playful Darling
shakes a dust,
frozen cosmic sprinkles-
eyelet drops from foggy space
Flora-doras,
chorus girlies
glittery flitters in lattice swirls
twinkly toes on
lacy feet
sunk in ivory air,
a drift of
crystal ballerinas
that bow to blinking lashes
and die
to kiss
a winter’s smile!

This is so beautiful! I love nature poems they're so peaceful! This poem definitely brought that serene feeling! I love winter when the snow falls, especially at night, and you look up just to see the white dots falling from pitch blackness! Oh how I love that. And a beautiful background! You're so lucky you get to use those moving ones!

Hehehe..it was a mistake! I was trying to delete it from the contest entry, and it took it completely off. However, I went to the options and I was able to UNdelete it. I got it put back! Thank you..are you doing well?

What a wonderful way to describe snow, with a flurry of images, penned as fine as powder. Your well chosen words bring life to this lovely little poem.

Excellent imagery and exceptional presentation you made me feel as if each word was a snowflake tumbling to the ground in an endless dance. You have created simply a beautiful write.

This is almost enough to make me think warmly of winter! LOL! The pic was a good pick for the write, and the layout was well planned. An enjoyable purity to traverse like stairs for my mind. Peace & Love. ET

Very pretty. Like hannah, I'm enduring my first snow of the year- no fun for me, but this poem makes it soothing and lovely.

thank you everyone! I was pretty surprised that it wasn't very evident of a simple snow shower. The Darling.......(if you have read my others) indicates the Creator, the Lord God. He is knowable and creates all things, and in this case......a splendid snow to bring about the purpose of a lighter heart.
Other interpretations ....welcome! It takes other eyes to add the dimensions!
hannahesque....Well. It takes a New Englander to see it definitively..LOL. " poetic precipitation..." I like that...yes.! Thank you

First major snowfall here in Connecticut tonight, this poem seemed to immortalize my thoughts.
You did a good job with imagery and visualation, not only in the words themselves but in the way you set them up as well, the background and drifting sentences and word fragments, a sort of poetic precipitation in itself.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..

Pretty Cookie did this reflect Korinne? And her dancing in the show and being playful?

Very nice...
Nice job! I like the fact that the poem is somewhat open to interpretation; that is, it's not tied down to specifics. I'll have to look at your other work. -
