Our time is never infinite
It comes and goes at will
Like the ever changing season tides
Hope can burn eternal
But dreams still flare and die
And if I could have you with me still
I would sacrifice it all
We were once you and I
We tried to hold it all together
But like autumn leaves it withered and died
As we tried to reach beyond ourselves
Now the road we travel is now so cold
I don't have you here to hold
When I needed you most of all
Oh, sacred waters
They flow in each and every soul
Beyond all care and control
Oh, sacred waters
They were never just a part of me
And maybe they never were...
Our time is never infinite
It comes and goes at will
If we could just hold onto our dreams
No matter what season they sometimes seem
I may have saved this heart ache and pain
Before everything simply slipped away
Oh, sacred waters
They flow in each and every soul
Beyond all care and control
Oh, sacred waters
They were never just a part of me
And maybe they never were...
