I Never Thought

I never thought I'd feel this way
But looking into your eyes
Holding you in my arms
I cannot deny the way you've changed my life
Looking back on all the mistakes I've made
All the things I wish I could change
All the pain I've caused
All that I've destroyed
Trying to hide from that which really matters
Never finding that inner peace
Now my only wish
Is that you never pay for what I've done
