You're Gone.

Though I bleed
These shades of feelings,
Time consumes you
And leaves me fading.

You're gone
Like you said you never would.
And the absence
Crawls beneath the surface
In ways it never should.

The windows dim, the yellow
Fades...
The hollow part of me
Remains...
This gap that's growing
Leaves me knowing
That loving you was a mistake.

And though you're gone
It's you I'm feeling
When suffocation
Robs my breathing.
Panting against a fading brain,
A memory of your smile remains.

And though you're gone,
Your lie grows colder.
And as I age, the world keeps
Spinning on my shoulders.
This age dehydrates
The warmth upon my skin.
I leave in silence,
Fading into a love that
could never have been.

Please tell me what you think
