Journey Of Nightly Dreams

Moonbeams shower her at twilight,
dreams drift down from her star.
Each one encaptures a moment,
her wishes streaming from afar.

Wide eyed embedded in thought,
complacent and eager is she.
Longing for true love of her own,
unclear what her future will be.

Determination drives her soul,
looks forward and will not waiver.
On a quest to fulfill her dream,
to find a true love to savor.

Windmills of her mind ever turn,
to loves fantasies of tomorrow.
She now puts faith in her future,
reaching for new dreams to borrow.

Her life wanders like the river,
twisting and turning without end.
She is drawn to the sea of love,
ever searching around each bend.

THis work is beautiful and sad. Someone always searching for love. Maybe, as the song goes, she is "searching for love in all the wrong places." It is also sad as she lives on borrowed dreams. Your poems make me think and at timesmaje me cry. You are well gifted in your craft and I wish you well. Papagallo

A pretty poem. I'd sort of have liked if the "windmills of her mind" line was elaborated on. Why windmills? Is she a peasant who lives in a country place?

This did, for me, describe a fantasy-like setting.

So wonderful. Words and comparisons that paint such a wnderful picture of desire for love. The quest for love is so well explained. I especially love the last eight stanzas.... another wonderful work from the soul.
