The streets don't want me;
Let me stay in your caress
Leave me to weep in your corner,
Oh they couldn't care less.
Won't you let me bury myself
In the pavements arms?
Insects journey through the cracks
To you they sing their psalms.
I am cut where no blade enters.
I find myself alone once more
In the cemetary of gods
Where a child squirms on the floor.
I cannot be without you much longer
I need you to keep away
The maggots that come for my eyes;
Eyes prey to the maggots,
I need you to repel
The worms seeking residence in my skin
My cold, cold skin,
Oh don't leave me alone anymore.
If only I were a virgin to your hair,
A hair that curves like a rainbow
But I have seen it's grace
From behind smiles saved for tomorrow.
I come to you, in the end
You send me away,
In the very end
Always I lose my way.
No, no I cannot dance
Death tied my legs too tight
And leaves me dangling
From the clifface of the night.
I cannot be without you much longer
I need you to keep away
The maggots that come for my eyes;
Eyes prey to the maggots,
I need you to repel
The worms seeking residence in my skin
My cold, cold skin,
Oh don't leave me alone anymore.
Oh someone take away this suffering!
So I cry.
The stars descend to confess to me:
"You will suffer until she loves you, or you die."
Will she come through to me,
Will she give to me her lips?
There is no one to tell me,Oh!
I taste only the bloodied whips.
Yes, I will dump my sorrows into the sea!
But the sea has gone dry.
Yes, I will give my love to the wind!
But the wind is given to the sky.
