The guilt crashed down,
And he watched in horror
As the body of the girl
Fell to the floor.
He tried to stay strong,
But he wanted to cry,
And for the first time in years,
Tears fell from his eyes.
Walls around his heart,
Hard for so long,
Dropped liked rain,
And then they were gone.
His soul bled
From the purest of sorrow,
Remembering the love
He'd lost long ago.
He turned from the window,
And saw a man
With holes through his palms,
Holding out a hand.
