How can a heart hurt so much?
How can a soul feel so desolate?
A lifetime I waited for you
And now I’ve lost you
Completely
Devastatingly
By my own fault
My lack of trust
What have I done?
I can’t breathe
It hurts too much
My pain is all consuming
All deserving
No forgiveness in my heart for me
I hate me

so sorry
it is tough in this world and time to know what is the wisest decision or course to take. all that glitters is not gold. so what appears right and good, does not necessarly mean it was the best. only time will tell. good things come to those with patience and wait.
I know it has happened to me.

This is a very sad poem. It is very well written. I can feel the pain in your words. I have also experienced times of self-loathing.

Sad...very sad. I really like it though. To me sad poetry is the best, thats just my opinion though. I really like this poem and especially the first two lines. They, in very few words describe exactly how you are feeling emotionally. Plus i really enjoy the questions in it. It gets me thinking about intense feeling and makes me even experience it. Then the last line, ties it together with a drastic meaning. I cant tell you how many times i have felt this way about someone i cared about. You did this with greatness..Good Write!
