oars dip into the night sea
as moon reflects off waves
receding along shoreline,
low tide leaves ocean’s treasures
abandoned on timeless sands,
that ebb and flow with breath
of man under palm tree,
gazing out to unknown journey
of words written on lines
in his notebook,
as the next poetic voyage begins
