Got A Case of You

Got a switch , something’s strange
my head drops to think
and those around me ask about
the not-so-subtle change

how I am, where I’m going,
soliloquy, a listless voice
plate’s still full, lost my appetite
world looks different somehow

are you something come over me?
with reason for a prayer
a dimension of affection
hovered softly on my shoulder.

many have I, sweet delusions
glossy feeling in the skin
what’s the special diagnosis
throw the others out, keep this one-in

You were the one who called
in a maze to follow me here
chased  me in an unsuspecting wind
believed in my effort, saw the tears.

now, dizzy me over the rainbow
since heart hurts and I’m a little blue
hope it’s not a case of illness
rather than . . . a case of you.

I also liked the metaphors you use throughout and the flow and mood created are both suitable for the subject matter. 'now, dizzy me over the rainbow' - great line. I did like this, thanks for sharing.

I like to say I read something brilliant, and can just move on. But, that's how we learn, and we get better at it, am I right?

I really was impressed with this brillinat piece of yours, you have an array of metaphors flowing with this wonderfully woven piece penned from the aspirations of your mind. The sensations are wonderful, to the 'now dizzy me over the rainbow, a beautiful work of art!
