In the midst of the woods
A body lies
A red haired girl
With emerald eyes
Through her pretty heart
He thrust a blade
No one heard
The cries she made
He said she'd never
Looked so sweet
As her blood spilt
At his feet
He buried her body
Six foot deep
Then covered it up
With dirt and leaves
Winter comes
And the rain cries
On the place
Where her body lies
The earth may freeze
But itll never forget
That cruel day
A dark secret
After months of waiting
Spring arrives
Breathing hope
Giving lives
And on that spot
A flower grows
The most beautiful of all
A blood red rose
