What does a rainbow mean to you?
A glimmer of hope
That keeps shining through
Even though your neck
Hangs in this rope?
Does it bring joy and laughter
And a million brightly coloured wishes?
Even though from there after
Your drowning in an ocean
Full of weird arpeggi fishes?
So if i say it brings me joy
I suppose you will smile and walk away,
And i'll play with the golden toy
That can be found at the end
But it quickly fades to grey.
Im drowning in an ocean of colour
That my eyes are sensitive to see.
Nor here nor there,
Or anywhere
Will i ever be totally free.

Well done... I like the contrast in each verse almost as if your saying something out loud and then listening to the truth of your inner voice.
Nice write.

Very wierd and wonderful poem you have here. You created contrast with dashes of hope followed by glimmers of fatality. Very descriptive. Drew me in.
Well done! Enjoyed! Best to you in the contest!

I LOVE how you ended this poem!!! What a strong stanza:
"Im drowning in an ocean of colour
That my eyes are sensitive to see.
Nor here nor there,
Or anywhere
Will i ever be totally free."
Very nice!!!
