Allpoetry is a site of touch and feel

whether it be from imagination or something real

Some come here to open their heart

no matter the reason, a great place to start!

.

 A site of "True compassion" for all ages and anyone

for serious thoughts or just having some fun

.

It's become a window to the future so very fast

maybe for some a way, ...to hold on to the past~

People all around the world have come to see

this beauty of words or someones special memory

.

Your religon or color is a blessing for all far and near

because we're each unique, and glad that you're here

.

Helping each other through a terrible loss or strife

it only takes a moment, maybe even saves a life

As I read the beautiful pages of many unknown

look back on your first poem, you really have grown

.

So if the thoughts start to stir or your feeling low

just turn to allpoetry, you have more than you know!

    "no matter the reason, a great place to start" the second part of that line feels cheated of something, not whole.. maybe "it's a great place to start"?

    This is really beautiful. Allpoetry, is a place where words are free to give. I came here in 2003. I found it by accident through a friend (thank God I did).. I had been really depressed and needed an outlet, this site and the beautiful people, really helped me get stronger and move on. I moved from the name: KeepingTheStars (which still holds all my old poetry) to this.. SeptemberFAITH!

    It's def a place I can credit my heart to and to the fact that I am standing here, whole.

    I give you kutos for sharing your words with Kevin and the rest of us. We all feel the same way you do about this place... its a true blessing.

    I have actually met one of my friends from here.. years ago, almost 4 years ago. If it werent for AP, I would have never known so many amazing souls.

    This is a lovely poem Allpoetry is a wonderful site, and in my two years here, its members have helped me through some pretty tough times. When I had no one to talk to in real life, I always had someone here who would listen and critique my work without judgment.

    The site was a wonderful idea on Kevin's part, and I don't know what I would have done, had an old friend not introduced me to AP. I've met so many wonderful people, and matured as a writer... Go have a look at my first poems posted on AP, written when I was 16/17ish... they're terrible All the people here have helped me grow up, both as an artist and a person... After all, I can now not only write creepy poems, but I can also make weird pineapple backgrounds... Thank you Alilly and the MS Paint class

    Anyway, you've done some good work here. Thank you very much fr sharing this wonderful piece, and the very best to you!

    I don't think I could've put this any better myself. This was absolutely wonderful and I'm sure all the other Allpoetry users will agree with me on this one. Great job all around, definitely keep it up!

    SO very true the sentiments you write in these lines - we all feel better when we find friends on here that think like we do about poetry and help us through some tough times. We too feel good when we can help them in their times of need. Very nicely stated, how you and so many others feel about this site. I look back on my first poems and oh yes, how I have grown. We pick up bits of this and bits of that from all poets on here; we are always evolving our poetry into better styles, and different forms. Glad you wrote this for all of us here on AP. Thanks too for your help with many of our author pages - you created something beautiful for many of us through your expertise in graphic designing.

    I really enjoyed this piece, It was entirely unique, unexpected and over-due. I don't think we really know how much we love this website and never really get around to saying Thank you to those that make it possible for us to share our opinions, feelings, worries, and desires. You did a beautiful job churning words into a glorious stream of poetry that seems to flow so smoothly. I especially like how you mention looking at unknown peoples poetry and then going back to look at their first writes and notice how they've grown, I do that all the time. Great Job and thank you for writing this.

    I love this site! This was a brilliant tribute to it, awesome. I'm so glad you wrote this, it's so sweet. I love the fourth stanza the most, "we're just human and glad that your here," but a few corrections, your should be you're. Maybe add a few commas in there as necessary because there's a little bit of a flow issue in that stanza. Also "a site of true compassion" in the second stanza, 'a' should be capitalized. "Its become a window," its to it's. But forget the corrections, haha, this was a brilliant write. Great job, love it!

    Beautiful Words

    Good morning gets, It seems like forever since we talked. I have missed you. It has been a year since your words helped me through my sad time. I can never thank you enough for how much you did for me in thoise dark days when I felt so lost.
    Your words in your poem are so true. There is so much more then poetry to be found here. Bless you and your family this Easter weekend. Take care and know you have always been in my thoughts and prayers even though we haven't chatted. Always here for you. Sandy

    A beautiful write and message. Heartfelt and touching. Good imagery, flow, rhyme and tone. Lovely depth of feeling. Very nice rhythm. Good word choice, alliteration and assonance. Yes, Allpoetry is everything that you write in your poem. You capture its essence beautifully with your words. Well penned and much enjoyed.
