Willed by God
in birth and death
both life and Life are offered,
but in the wake of greed we learn
to earn, and please and justify.
Therefore, remember
that these are poor substitutes
for life, and work, and taking care,
as they avert the difference
in others we can make.
Thus, in taking responsibility for our choices,
life and Life become our Godly right.
Now within this principle a secret is found,
a blessing for both you and me,
for when we take ownership
we multiply this Right,
and forever will be of worth
to journey this life
as He has willed.

Author notes
I believe that when we take responsibility for our ownership [our life and lives], we enable this is in others. Together we have this responsibility towards each other, thus allowing God's creation within us to manifest purpose.

"...we multiply this Right...)
How perfect a summation,
a challenge, a fulfillment
of your premise and the way
you lead your life.

This has a feeling of unity through out the entire poem, and yes we should take responsibility
Thanks for entering -
Excellent!
Very well done my Africa friend! Thoughtful.
Especially liked this:
"Thus, in taking responsibility for our choices,
life and Life become our Godly right."
So true. Many abdicate their responsibilites and as result move with the eb and tide blaming others and God for this misfortunes.
Keep up the good work and all the best for the contest!

Your words are powerful and true. Your author's notes remind us of our responsibility to live our lives responsible. What we do surely affects those around us. A wonderful poem you have penned. Bless you. Sandy

Well, Frans --
you truly live your poem, in every sense of the word. We can but hope to complete our tasks on this earth, when we see the individualized purpose, and also the interrelatedness in responsibilities. Are we not divinely linked? Every single soul on our path adds to own. Seek to grow by the privilege to be linked to inner self, others and God, for in the end this growth is the result from life, work, and taking care.
Thank you for being here -- I cannot say that enough.
Blessed be.

A wonderful explanation of that responsibility.
As for the enabling, you hit the nail on the head.
It's either for their good or... not so good. Exampling
what we were made for is a good expression
of that commodity!
Thank you for taking the edge of practicality!
