A Winkling in time
Poetry novices and pros alike,
Venturing to a new literary website;
Discover there a mentor to like,
Unexpected guidance by a poet of light.
We choose what to do with remaining days,
Some choose travel, some relax at home;
Lyndon assists newer poets in various ways,
Tutoring others to craft many fine poems.
Life on this Earth would be poorer indeed,
Without various kind souls lending a hand;
Humans would surely be a pathetic breed,
If we lacked altruism's generous stand --
Lyndon shepherding his Winklings to magnificence,
Gift from some higher power, godlike benificence!
Author notes
Reverted to a Sonnet for this. Difficult to find words today; In Honor of Ron's efforts for the rest of us!

Nicely done!
Great sentiments. Love the rhythm and flow. Life certainly would be poorer without help from others!

Bravo! What great form and a well done tribute to Lyndon. He's a great man and I'm sure he will love reading this.

I'm sure that Lyndon ...
will like your poem.
Sonnets are not all that easy to write, as I am sure he knows, so he should appreciate the effort involved as well as the thought.
