Looking for my silver lining
But it’s gone into hiding
A whisper in the wind
Thoughts for perfect days that will never live
The branches of trees
Cut me off at the knees
Nature hindering my escape
How long I have avoided fate
Now my past has found me
But there’s a silver lining you see
The end brings me closer to him
He who left, I watched his eyes grow dim
So may seasons have passed
But my world is hat he encompassed
I’ll join him in the silence of death
Finally with the one I loved best

I like how this piece takes the idea of silver lining and views it from a point of view of something that most people would view as negative is given as a silver lining from the viewpoint of the writer. ie. the allusions to death and release, turns the usual idea of 'silver lining' on it's head.
Good write.
