The Human Spirit?
what can we say about our spirit,
for one thing we can laugh at it,
when we slip on that banana peel we call life.
As we fall on are butts we hear the spirit scream,
" DID YOU HAVE A NICE TRIP? WELL THEN SEE YOU NEXT FALL.
Or we can cry are eyes out
over a good book,
with a pint of Ben and Jerry's chocolate chip ice cream.
And don't forget we can get pissed off,
on that night when we burned the pot roast for our
25th Wedding Anniversary that we spent four months planning.
But baby don't panic,
the human spirit lives on, and is always there to lend a helping hand
when thing start to get rough.
Our spirit is our soul,
for the good times and the bad times.
God know we try to see who we are,
and why the hell we do the things we do,
For one more thing that is in all of us,
we have one to many rum runners,
and we play the game of truth and dare.
with that dare we are sky diving in our white bathing suit.
So in parting be supper kind to your spirit,
and don't play truth or dare.

Hi My name is Butterfly24 , is was my first poem I posted her at AP. the poem is a take on laughing at are self when we thing go astray in are life's and have no control over it, so we just get up and shake it off.

The truth or dare part made no sense to me. However the rest was very nice and uplifting. A nice sentiment. Good flow and structure.
