Over

The pictures are burned
And so is his shirt
The relationship they once had is a blur
She realised he was a jerk, a perv
She's moved on
She even found a date for prom
someone who treats her right
Like a person
Someone who never fights
Someone who knows wrong from right
She stares at the small fire
Her ex was such a liar
She's moved on
Maybe she'll now get hired
At the job she's been looking forward too
Her new boyfriend filled in that empty whole
Hopefully maybe her stupid ex will run into a pull
She's over him

Tell me what you think

Excellent poem. It shows not only heartache, but also the strength that you moved on and lived your life. Sometimes it is a hard thing to do. And the symbolizm of burning his shirt to represent the end is wonderful. Great Job.

This is good. I like it. Haha I am one to trash all the stuff of the ex, so I find this relatable.
