Let go

I can do it just let go
I can do it, don't say no
I am ready to fly
it's time to say good bye

Open your hand
let my soar
I'll look just grand
I'm ready to explore

You're letting me go
I know to aim high
but I'm plummeting low
and I'm wondering why

Why did you listen to me
how did I know
that I was going to fall
when you let go.

This is a story of a teenager or a child urging their parent to let them go and blaming them for their fall when they do. I know most parents can relate.

    I like the poem but dissagree with your message. Right now I would like more thn anything for my mother to understand my positon,
    But as for your poetry, it had both ryhme and grace. It was really a peice of art. Personal opinion of message aside, I am placing your peice with my finalists and will further judge it later.
