You fell, I watched the sky
My mind wondering, asking why?
I felt my world, spiral around
As your body braced itself, then hit the ground.
An angel, a spirit from high
Came down, and crashed out of the sky.
The look on your face, the tear in your wing
Tears in your eyes, but my heart did sing.
I reached out, wanting to touch your face
But you shuddered, and turned from my embrace.
My words stopped, stuck in my throat
Not able to say, not making one note.
I pulled my hand, back to my chest
Wondering, was this just a test?
Yet you wouldn't get up, and I had to leave
But I vowed, I would not be decieved.
I walked home, and let you brew
Over all the cuts, and acts ensued.
I watched by candle light, as you finally stood
But fly, I know you wouldn't or could.
