Wishbone

Drawn to the oval face gazing into sad brown eyes,
loneliness leaves a pallor smile that will not show.
Shared kindness with gentle caresses as she cries.

Her hair flows down the back, as tears now dries,
she clings to hope, the artists love continues to flow.
Drawn to the oval face gazing into sad brown eyes,

she collects flowered words in half truths and lies,
her thoughts tempt lust as love she will bestow.
Shared kindness with gentle caresses as she cries.

Her heart opens to float as a breeze across skies,
passions heat in lurid sunset and uncover a glow.
Drawn to the oval face gazing into sad brown eyes,

the couple wrapped in a blanket he leaves goodbyes,
a child will it be Greek or Persian, her belly grows.
Shared kindness with gentle caresses as she cries,

abandoned, tears stain her bed as she prays to die;
unwed Greek girl a secret, parents desire to know.
Drawn to the oval face gazing into sad brown eyes,
shared kindness with gentle caresses as she cries.

i like the repetition here, i was trying to see if it was some form used but i can not see - maybe i am still alseep as i have just crawled from the dreamscapes. anyway, a sad piece here, a flowing sigh that roams the words.

Good morning, What a beautiful poem but one of such sadness too. Your words are filled with emotion. Years ago my fiance died suddenly and I was with child so I can relate to the sadness in your words. A wonderful write. Thank you for sharing. Bless you my friend. Sandy
