Festival of Colours (Gold Trophy)

Missing image
Sadness takes its leave
As beauty shares its sheen
A haze of red, blue, yellow
And all colours in between

Love and friendship rules
Fun and happiness abound
Settling upon each of us
Spreading joy all around

Sharing smiles and laughter
Showing each other love
There is no room for loneliness
As God watches from above

So dance and sing along
As we all give thanks for life
For the chance to share this day
Oblivious of pain and strife

The beauty of God’s colours
Wipes away the grays of doom
Leaving brightness in its path
And in our hearts, no gloom

Thanks, Susan. Yep, it's really nice weather here now, too bad it'll get so damned hot later on. We were up to 89 last week. Lol... yeah, you can come stay anytime, Sis I'm already wishing we had some of the cooler weather, though.
      love and

Kind of a companion to the other two I read this morning, subject anyway. Though this one is a little more, celebratory, which makes sense of course considering the topic of the other two.

Colors...what a great way to describe it, which I guess is why it won the gold.

Apparently I've been extra lazy lately and have skipped (lets say missed, less guilt for me) several of your poems

    ...remedied.

The colors...they're what make life worth living. By colors I read it to mean the sheer pleasure of living...it is a gift, friendship, yes, but just sheer living too.

I see you as a green. I'm definitely a black.
