The Road Not Taken

I’ve been to that place where paths diverge,
And faced a decision so vital;
Which is the way to lead me astray,
And which way will lead me onward?
Looking down the first no reason is seen
Why it should not lead me true;
Yet when I look down the second path
I find the same state of affairs.
To look at them with only the mind
Is to choose with no feeling at all;
So deeper I search into myself
To remove all aspects of reason.
The first path I’ll take on my next trip,
Though I know not if I shall return
For that is the way this course will run.
Let it be known in futures to come
That though it grieved me and tortured my mind,
I chose the path less taken by those
Who also traveled within the woods
And ne’er would I go back to change it.
