Weave daisies
unplucked
by lover's
seeking solace,
in "He loves me...
....loves me not,"chants
entwined with
lovely braids,
of forget-me-nots
to symbolize the
blossoming of your youth.
Dance brightly amidst
the dulls of the world
on this your day of birth,
for you are
but a sprout
reaching skyward.

I love this so much, what beautiful birthday wishes...thanks so much for joining the party, Artis.

This is lovely!! I liked the way the words seem to drift down the page...like flower petals in the wind. The last few lines just made themselves sit in my eyes. I liked the sincerity of voice here too - something so very peaceful about this poem.
Thank you for this poetic flower you've written for Namita.
