I love an egg hunt on Easter day,
When all the children come out and play.
The smile on their faces says it all,
They laugh and run around having a ball.
We hide the eggs for them to find,
Some have candy, some have dimes.
The kids look under bushes and leaves,
Some of them even climb trees.
They‘re not interested in having brunch,
Eating all the candy, that’s their lunch.
But who cares on this Easter day,
As long as they have fun and play.

A lovely and light-hearted look at the festivities celebrated on Easter. A wonderful little piece that charmed and delighted.
Good rhyme and rhythm in this verse. Well done for this contest. Thank you for such a delightful entry. Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela
