Reflections of Love!

Enchanted Miss, how lovely you are.
In fields of daffodils you've
nurtured delight,
with you're charming ways
and curly locks fashioned
in awesome wonder.
Though kin to my kin,
my mothers sister,
your vibrant smile and
majestic laughter did compel
the stars to sparkle luminous bright.
Each day in your presence,
you captivated my heart.
To witness such a regal flower
of virtue and polite,
inspired me to lofty heights.
Your wisdom and affection taught
my soul countless treasures,
in a time of youthful learning.
To which I owe my deepest respect
and admiration.
So bewildering is life to which
one sometime can't comprehend.
A glitch of sort in earths eternal frame.
The light of day did twist and
fray until time veered to hues of gray.
Alas the flourishing years has cease.
As days of grandeur melt away and
clouds of darkness distort your way.
Reflections of your inspired past
has transformed into shattered glass.
We who love you watch in disbelief
as we attempt to mend your heart of grief.
Remembering the days of your youth
with fondness we share the truth.
As we tenderly care for you with
pride and joy for all you've done.
In hopes of better days we'll share
underneath the wings of the blessed son.

Author notes

This piece is a dedication to my aunt.
She is my mothers elder and dearest sister.
I've watched her through the years with
admiration and great respect.
She's a God fearing christian women who've
showed love to so many.
Now that she struggles with Alzheimers
her life has drastically changed.
This once vigorous and sharp woman
of great warmth and affection now
depends on others to do what she did
all her life. Its sad to witness as her
nephew but its a reality of our day.
My hope along with everyone is that we
will find a cure for this devastating disease.

    How sad.

It is sad indeed to have this disorder. I do not know what is worse the person who has it or the family who endure the disease with them. Always keep your memories.
