A modern day fairytale (Sorry I can't think of a good title)

Twas in the warmth of Spring's afternoon
When the crickets cry and frogs croak in tune
That a story so unexpected was born
A tale that many would come to mock and to scorn

A girl and a boy, both bored and alone
So they each ended up in a virtual zone
But discovered new company to be dull and bland
For no one could seem to understand

They began to chat in virtual-speak
Discovered each other to be quite unique
And when the time came to depart
Each did so with a heavy heart

A long time passed with no words spoken
Their short encounter had left no token
And the boy and the girl began to forget
The intriguing person they each had met

On a warm summer day they encountered again
In the virtual room entitled 'the den'
They talked and laughed for most of the day
And it wasn't long before this became their way

They would meet up online frequently indeed
And in their friendship, they began to succeed
This pattern continued for over 2 years
With many a smile, and many sad tears

But they began to long for something more
As their feelings grew and they began to adore
They longed to meet and be together
To stay close for always and forever

But the distance was great, and the time too long
And they began to believe their love was all wrong
But still they hung on and refused to give in
Though both knew they never would win

So they struggled on, thorough despair and strife
Consigned to this pain for all of their life
Many people tried to break them apart
But neither were willing to stop and depart

Then one day in their third Spring
A miracle happened, a marvellous thing
A chance for a visit, to finally be real
Their joy and excitement they couldn't conceal

So the boy travelled 800 miles on a train
The nerves and apprehension were simply insane
On his final arrival, to him she flew
And each knew in that moment, their love was true

Their first embrace was a moment of awe
As all who mocked looked on and saw
The magic between them that was the envy of all
Two people lost in their moment of enthral

So this is where our story shall cease
The hero and heroine finally found peace
To live happily ever after when they should have failed
The perfect end, a fairytale.
