I had an idea
for a poem
and although it was only
an idea…
I could not write it down
just yet
the poem is still brewing
in my head

As it turns out-

like all poets do
having a need to write
something,
just
anything at all

I wrote this little note
…to myself
            I told you!
            not to read it

but you did!
I hope you found what you

    You made me peek, you great big geek! Clappies? what are those? Are those the little crabby things that some men receive for giving? I must admit, I smiled. Now it won't come unglued! Guess I'll just have to be happy, even when I sleep. Thank you so much, cause last night I had a terrible nightmare! So, ya had to write yourself a note?
