twas the week before Easter
no noise in the workshop
just sitting down with a cup of cold pop
what to my old ears did I hear
it was a phone call,
kind of early in the year
answered the phone wondering
who could it be
to my surprise
it was the Easter Bunny
so I settled down my chair
why did he call me
“I am loosing my hair”
he said with spite
I can’t go out Easter eve night
“Santa you must help me with this,
Please come on you do it for Christmas”
I made a deal with that bunny
I will only do it,
If you pay me lots of money
The next week Easter came
To the children Easter was the same
Hiding eggs and filling baskets
this year you have a lot more
things to thank Santa for
