Two gods were in love
once.
Svina, goddess of childishness;
Lerda, son of Neptune.
Two great friends
questioned a kiss one day.
Already were inseperable,
already loved each other dearly;
nothing seen more
clearly.
A spat,
an argument
over a mermaid
who had caught Lerda's eye.
Long story very,
very short:
Svina left the ocean
for the desert -
to die.
She was gone nigh on
half a day
before Lerda realised
and persued.
She could be almost anywhere,
they'd no idea where to look.
But,
long story
very, very, very
very, very
very
short...
Lerda found Svina
collapsed on the sand.
Wind whipped around her,
her skin was red, a little raw
having been pelted with
tiny grains of sand;
a diamond in
the rough

He poured his best;
purest,
water on her,
to revive her...
and revive her it did,
not.
She died,
all the H2O
and happiness
sucked clean
from her
insides.

I know its Venus (I was gunna call it Venus) but it inspired me to make up my own tale. Was it any good?
Pfft no need to answer...
