In half moon skies of shimmered light
a great red star and belt glowed bright
and gentle rain resolved clear sight
a cloudless night, a cloudless night
a Lady legend by lonely eye
to find the hunter’s love flown by
whose touch the searching age denied
he walks the sky, he walks the sky
she lifted magic from the cold
unsheathed his sword from clouded hold
as love of eons past unfolds
Orion bold, Orion bold
and I disguised my patient role
as stories from the sky I’d stole
to tease her mind and ember’s coal
and loving soul, and loving soul
then find a soft and silvered gray
adoring eyes the moon at play
the gems of care she’d held at bay
along the way, along the way

Just beautiful. I am instantly drawn into the story, intrigued by its chase. Love the revelation and analogy toward the end. Gorgeous, gorgeous stuff, my friend. You're so great at this kind of thing.

You are so good writing in forms. The repetitions at the end of each stanza give a very melodic feel to the poem.
Lovely how it flows so smoothly, and the entire image is just enchanting.
You've even used a background, and I think it's the first time I see you doing that - fits perfectly to your words.
Beautiful sight, wonderful feelings.
