Today my grandchildren
Came in to see me.
I hadn't seen them in a year
And I'm so glad I had the privilege.
They brought me some cookies,
My favorite--white chocolate.
We sat and talked about old times,
And how they are doing in school.
I don't like the food here
At this lonely nursing home.
Oh wait, look, some cookies!
I wonder how they got here.
I guess I'll just sit here
And wait, eating my snacks
Until my grandchildren arrive.
I haven't seen them for a year!

Yes.
They seem to get stuck in the gear that has a favorable memory. Most Alzheimers patients do ramble on and say their children don't come to see them. That is often repeated over and over again.

Sad.... I would never want my grandma to be put in a home. I love her to death!

I wish you all the best in this contest! Much love and light, Peace, Timothy aka poeticweaver~
