- Joker in Suit -

Prejudice played cards

with joker in suit-

bent predisposed rules
applied power of suggestion

used noose to demonstrate

        burnt crosses
                                and tattooed flesh

with three identical letters,
           stammered

since a brain
wasn't required to participate.

You've got the soap down to a bar and on slice on thin edge - words prevail. The beauty in madness here - is harsh but reflective.

    Thanks for entering,

I absolutely LOVE this!!!! I simply can not understand racism and hate that it exists in this world!! Your last 2 lines pretty much summed up the basis for it though, NO BRAINS equals IGNORANCE!!!! Excellent job!!

Awesome job on this, Sis. Seemed very metaphorical. I especially liked the first two lines. It made me think of how if people are prejudiced in life, they don't have a very open mind about society. Best of luck in the contest.
