She cries
A fallen girl lies on the concrete holding her knee
No blood trickles
No bone is broken
A skinned knee initiates the wailing
She cries
A frightened girl sits in the corner hugging her arms
No bruises bloom
No physical damage shows
A father yelling for no reason initiates the choked gasps
She cries
A tormented girl rests on her bed clenching her wrists
No cut too deep
No one will know
A damaged self esteem and broken dreams initiate the blood flow
She cries
A hopeful girl buries herself in her pillow
No new scars
No new dreams
A self destructive way of pushing people away initiates the salty release
She cries
A not so simple girl lies on her bed holding her husband
No problems
No broken dreams
A true love found initiates the happiness
She cries
