Tuesdays weigh heavy

inside this droning pain

how fragile

this sky-

inwardly unfolding; clouds burst

lungs filled with saltpetre

expansion of thoughts

to her, lost horizons of body shape

captured by cancerous growths

she gave in; finality of formed angels

wrap around this hour

this time

this day

this secondary silence

shouts out-

how unfair it is

to take something so pure

someone so loved

how fragile-

the sky is empty

without her

"how unfair it is/to take something so pure/someone so loved..." I've always wondered why the good souls are taken from this world when so many seemingly evil, heartless ones remain. Lost my Dad to colon cancer and empathize with your loss. This is a lovley tribute to someone who obviously meant a lot to you. She may be missed but she will never forgotten.

Hugs from across the pond... Helen

Sighhh...My sympathies, Sweetie. I know there are no words at a time like this...but damn, I think you've found them. We cannot ever really lose what we have first gained, my Friend. She is only a whisper away. Bless you & her family. We'll all be near our beloved ones someday. I believe this to be true. A tender & honorable tribute. Wanda

You can always bring another cloud to the cloudiest day!
Oh lord I do revel in grayness!

saltpetre was put in our food in the Navy, they say, to
sidetrack our legendary sailor libido's...any truth in that, Nurse G?

    gloomy but perfect

    Ah, heavy Tuesdays.
My least favorite day after Sunday only.

There's an emptiness here that is conveyed perfectly.

    Yes.
I think we all know the pain of losing someone, so much sadder when they are taken so young though. My heart goes out to you. This is such a beautiful tribute. sigh.
